Housing Bottom in California. Other things to consider.
  • Inland in California (pretty much east of anything that matters) - houses will be going for $100K again in several years. Inland in California is a huge huge mess - along with Florida it will have the largest percentage Real Estate price declines of all US areas. In bad parts of LA, SF Bay Area houses will get down to close to $100K as well.

  • Earthquake Risks. Strong earthquakes are a very real possibility in California. Most earthquake forecasts conveniently assume that future earthquakes will be 7.0 or weaker. 8.0 or greater earthquake will destroy most homes in the earthquake general area.
